Until a few years back you could find only a few worthwhile blog related to personal finance focused for Indian audience. Thanks to the increasing internet usage here, there has been a sharp surge in number of bloggers from India. This has definitely helped the Indian audience to take better financial decisions. The post has listed top 30 Personal Finance blogs in India.

These blogs deals with Personal Financial Planning, Investments, Retirement Planning, Insurance, Loans, Fixed Deposits, Provident Funds, Stock Markets, Gold, Silver, Real Estate Investment, Credit Cards, Credit Score, Taxation, Inheritance Planning, Reviews on various Financial Products among many other topics.

The interesting thing is these blogs are authored by a diverse set of authors – some are expert financial planners while others are IT professionals, engineers, doctors or Home makers.

Blog Ranking Methodology:

There are several ways in which blogs’ popularity can be ranked and all of them have some drawback. I have ranked the blogs based on their Alexa India Rank as on January 13, 2013 [Alexa Ranks are updated daily]. This shows the popularity of blog in India. Lower the rank, more popular is the blog.

For those who are not familiar with Alexa Ranking – Alexa is one of the leading internet statistics engines. Its ranks show how your site is doing in comparison to other sites. The top 100 million websites are assigned Alexa worldwide rank and Alexa country rank. The worldwide rank shows your site popularity in the world while Alexa country rank shows the popularity in that particular country.

According to some internet gurus Alexa Ranks are not 100% accurate and based on estimations. This is true to an extent but it is generally good in comparing when the blogs deal with similar subject [personal finance in our case] and same country [India].
