Public Sector Banks Officially Should Not have any Lunch Breaks
In response to a RTI query by Kamal Pareek to State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, the bank has replied that there is No defined Timing for Lunch Break at Public Sector Banks.
The bank is supposed to work from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM without any lunch break on all working days.
The bank officials should take turns for lunch so that the bank normal transactions are not interrupted between above working hours.
Unfortunately that is what the rule says, but visit any Public Sector bank and you can see board stating Lunch Hours and all the counters are closed at that time.
With this RTI information, you can protest at the bank and need to wait for the Lunch break to finish.

Agr koi person bank me rupee nikalne jata hai to wo ghar se samaj ke jata h ki ek hour se upar hi lge ga khuki line lgna parta h rupee niklne ke lye. Or passbook ke sath jna h nhi to rupees nhi mille ga. Bank ka koi kam ho two ya three days to lgna h. Or itna time ke baujud bi kam nhi bi ho sakta h...
Sir I have seen your post regarding Lunch Time....
I have seen in bank all are taking lunch and close the bank services if any one ask for any work they replied after Lunch.... can take any legal action against that.
The above reply was given by one public sector bank and this might not be followed across all banks. But yes you can file complaint in case you are sure that the bank in question too has no lunch hour provision.
Where we can complaint for this please update?
I am in Bank Of India Indore Navlakha branch they have lunch timings 2.30-3pm and they close main gate also is it correct they say who is responsible for cash
