Step 2<\/strong>.- Select CHALLAN NO. \/ITNS 280 (payment of Income tax & Corporation Tax)<\/p>\n

Step 3<\/strong>– Fill the Challan 280 as below<\/p>\n

  1. Select (0021) INCOME-TAX (OTHER THAN COMPANIES) for individual tax payers<\/li>\n
  2. Enter your PAN Card Number<\/li>\n
  3. Select Assessment Year (2017-18) for this year tax return<\/li>\n
  4. Fill up your Address, email & phone number<\/li>\n
  5. Select (300) SELF ASSESSMENT TAX<\/li>\n
  6. Select from List of Banks<\/li>\n
  7. Fill the Captcha code and click Proceed<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Step 4<\/strong> – On the next screen Check the details you filled. In case everything is OK select \u201cSubmit to Bank\u201d else select Edit. On Selecting Edit will take you to previous screen. On \u201cSubmit to Bank\u201d will take to the bank\u2019s net banking login screen.<\/p>\n

    Step 5<\/strong> – Login to your net banking. In the example we have shown ICICI Bank screen, it would be similar in all banks.<\/p>\n

    1\/2 – Check the details already pre-filled as in the form<\/p>\n

    3 \u2013 Fill the details of the tax to be paid<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Income Tax \u2013 the amount of tax due (excluding education cess)<\/li>\n
    • Surcharge \u2013 applicable for income more than Rs 1 crore. For all others keep it as 0<\/li>\n
    • Education cess \u2013 the education cess on the above amount<\/li>\n
    • Interest \u2013 Any interest payable for late tax payment. You can keep it as 0 and add the amount in the \u201cIncome Tax\u201d above<\/li>\n
    • Others \u2013 fill it as 0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      On successful transaction, a challan counterfoil is generated. This contains CIN, payment details and bank name.<\/strong> You should save it as it is the proof of payment being made.<\/p>\n

      The above challan payment can be verified in \u201cChallan Status Inquiry\u201d at NSDL-TIN website using CIN within a week of making payment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
