{"id":3713,"date":"2013-02-02T11:15:52","date_gmt":"2013-02-02T05:45:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apnaplan.com\/?p=3713"},"modified":"2014-06-17T12:32:20","modified_gmt":"2014-06-17T07:02:20","slug":"how-to-get-your-aadhaar-number-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.apnaplan.com\/how-to-get-your-aadhaar-number-3\/","title":{"rendered":"How to get your Aadhaar number?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A few days back \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apnaplan.com\/aadhaar-from-uidai-now-compulsory-for-your-epf-account\/\">EPFO has made Aadhaar number compulsory for opening and operating EPF account<\/a>.\u00a0With Government forcing for Aadhaar Number through its different departments,\u00a0I am planning to get one soon.\u00a0So, I researched about getting an Aadhaar myself and all the information here is what I could gather from internet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To start with the\u00a0<strong>Aadhaar number is free<\/strong>\u00a0and seems simple on paper.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Steps to your Aadhaar number:<\/h3>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre with a proof of identity and a proof of address\n<ul>\n<li>You can find your nearest enrolment centre from Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) website &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/appointments.uidai.gov.in\/easearch.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click to \u00a0Search<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>In case you are not keen on visiting these centers you can wait for camps which are held at times near your locality.<\/li>\n<li>In Delhi I have seen Aadhaar camps were held in some building societies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>At the enrolment center you need to fill up a short form [shortest Government form I have seen] which requires your details like PAN number, Date of birth, etc.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.apnaplan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/aadhaar-enrolment-form.pdf\">Download Aadhaar Enrolment Form here.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Once the form is filled, your eye biometric test, finger prints and photo will be taken.<\/li>\n<li>You will get an acknowledgment slip with a temporary enrolment number and other details captured during enrolment immediately.<\/li>\n<li>However, it takes time to get the actual card.
